Amanda (Sam) Sharma is a Leadership Coach and provides coaching to entrepreneurs, academics and public leaders. She is a Director at a small and growing IT company and works to align technology and tools to support processes and strategy in the area of emergency management and natural resources.
She is a skilled sustainability professional and has worked in the areas of disaster preparedness and recovery. She is a former public administrator and has experience as a county planner, federal program manager, emergency manager and as an executive director of a local nonprofit. Sam is also a part-time lecturer and has instructed graduate courses in Leadership, Ethics, and Environmental Law.
Sam was drawn to the mission of Stand Beside Them, as that daughter of veterans who became successful business owners following their military service. She has worked with organizations and founders of start-ups to incorporate a triple bottom line approach - social and environmental responsibility along with profitability - into its business strategy.
Sam is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the ICF DC Metro Chapter. She has been coaching since 2005. Sam holds an Executive MBA and a Master of Resource Law Studies from the University of Denver. She is a Prosci Certified Change Manager and has been helping individuals and organizations navigate change for over 15 years.

Andrew Heffner

Prior to becoming a coach and workshop developer, Andrew Heffner served as a New York City prosecutor for over twenty years and developed team and departmental leadership skills as Chief of the Manhattan District Attorney's Official Corruption Unit. He then spent three years as an Assistant New York State Attorney General, where he and his team investigated matters pertaining to public integrity and corporate ethics.
