Dot is a scientific researcher by education, training, and job position, but have achieved emotional and soft skills to develop a well rounded approach in life and coaching. Coaching training is one example. Dot has unofficially practiced coaching for a few years with a mixture of mentoring, peer to peer counseling, and being a leader. Dot graduated from Interior Coach Training Program, or ICTP, an official coaching program. The program equipped me with the knowledge and opportunity to explore the dynamics of leadership coaching through exploring values, conflict, confidence, mindset, self-care and much more. She has had the pleasure of coaching clients in a variety of military, federal employees, and the public, ranging from entry-, mid- and high-levels. Dot believes in the value of trust and open dialogue. Coaching is powerful, and she feels privileged to be part of the clients’ growth. Dot supports a coaching environment where both the client and coach shows up authentic, genuine, caring, and curious. She believe in acceptance of ones’ true self and knowing/accepting that we evolve. With clients she is there to help them understand and embrace their whole selves, gain clarity, focus their thinking, boost confidence, set goals, improve mindset, behaviors, and communication. She loves being able to significantly increase many aspects of self-awareness while helping them build up their performance, skills, confidence, communication, and relationships. Clients can expect a space for them to show up authentic. Whatever they need, she is there for them. She approaches coaching sessions with following the client on whatever adventure they take, whether they are problem solving, establishing goals, discovering their mindset, values, or feelings, or exploring the future. Clients are safe to fumble and encouraged to be honest, creative, and explore different perspectives. She partners with her clients to go to hard places and challenge them. All of this is in service of their growth and accomplishment of their goals. Come as you are, let’s explore, and see where we can go on this adventure…together! Dot holds a PhD in Hydrology and is federal employee. While not at work you can find her on one of her Harleys riding around the country!
