Welcome Our New Veteran's and Coaches

Welcome to SBT's New Veteran Work Study Students!

Sarah Falcone

U.S. Air Force

Sarah is an Air Force Veteran who proudly served for 9 years working in air transportation and recruiting. She's also a military spouse (her husband Antonio is a Marine) and a new mom to Antonio Jr. As Sarah pursues her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Point Loma Nazarene University, her thesis researches the impact of coaching upon recently-separated veterans as they search for a career after their service. After her own transition this past year, Sarah felt a strong calling to help veterans, understanding first-hand the difficulties military families face. She's helping SBT handle the surge of incoming coaching engagements and new coach onboarding. Sarah says she's thrilled for the opportunity to work with other veterans and their spouses, and to get to know the SBT family of coaches. We're so grateful to have her assistance, so thank you VA for the Work Study Program!

Gavin Shields

U.S. Navy

Gavin is a Navy Veteran who proudly served for 5 years working in mass communications. He is currently pursuing his associate's degree in E-Commerce and Marketing from Palomar College. Gavin spent much of his Navy career interviewing Sailors and Marines and telling their stories through photography and video. He was also a member of the fire-fighting team from the 2020 USS Bonhomme Richard fire in San Diego, CA. Gavin says he's excited to be with SBT this semester, where he can continue to connect with other veterans, hear their stories, and work on our newsletters. He will also keep our website running and up-to-date, along with other communications tasks. We're lucky to have Gavin this spring!

Welcome to SBT's New Veteran Work Study Students!

SBT has developed a partnership with ICF Chicago, and applications to join our roster of coaches have been flowing in! Thirteen Chicago coaches (photos below) have completed the on-boarding process thus far, and we're excited to welcome them to our coach family. Here they are! A BIG WELCOME!!!

Above: Bob Rourke, Carol Anthony, Cheryl Procter-Rogers, Don Darling, Dr. Barbara Wilson, Fernando A. Yepez, Karyn Taeyaerts, Kathy Keegan, Kelly Ross, Liana Kaplani, Michelle McCartney, Pam Reaves, Tracy Pakstys

Historically, ICF New York City, ICF Connecticut, and ICF DC-Metro joined the SBT family very early on. ICF North Texas (formerly ICF Dallas-Ft.Worth), ICFs Arizona and S. Arizona, ICF San Antonio, and the ICF Ohio Valley joined not long after. ICF-Seattle came aboard last year, and ICF Chicago most recently. We are in contact with other ICF Chapters to alert their certified and credentialed coach members about SBT in their newsletters and on their websites. Our vision is to have coaches from all fifty states by 2022, and we're almost there!! SBT Coaches, if your ICF Chapter would like to know more about SBT, please let us know! We'll be happy to speak with them and send them our INTRO PPT!

Stephanie Moves To Florida!

Stephanie Richmond, the Founder and CEO of SBT, and her family have moved south to Miami Beach, Florida, where she grew up. "While SBT remains a N.Y. corporation, we have registered to do business in Florida and the transition has worked out quite well for us, thank goodness. Since I grew up here, it's been great to reconnect with old friends from my youth," said Stephanie, "and the weather is nothing to sneeze at!"
